SV Academy Online Learning Policy ensures that our students have access to high-quality learning opportunities and resources, and that they are able to engage effectively in online learning. The policy covers a range of areas, including the use of online platforms, expectations for student behavior, support for students with additional needs, and safeguarding measures.
SV Academy recognizes the benefits of online learning, including increased flexibility, access to a wider range of resources, and the ability to learn at your own pace. However, we also acknowledge the potential challenges that online learning can present, including social isolation, digital access issues, and difficulties with motivation and engagement.
The Online Learning Policy is designed to help students to overcome these challenges by setting out clear expectations for behavior and providing a range of support mechanisms. We work closely with our students and their families to ensure that they have the resources and support they need to make the most of online learning opportunities.

BKSB: Personalised Skills Development at SV Academy
Students BKSB Portal
BKSB (Basic Key Skills Builder) is an online platform designed to assess and improve students’ English, Maths, and ICT skills. At SV Academy, we use BKSB to help identify each student’s current ability level and create personalised learning pathways. This ensures that every student gets the targeted support they need to make progress and achieve their best, whether they are preparing for GCSEs, functional skills qualifications, or future employment.
SV Academy VLE Teacher: Your Virtual Learning Platform

SV Academy VLE Teacher is SV Academy’s Virtual Learning Environment designed especially for students. The platform provides a central hub where students can access lesson materials, submit assignments, receive feedback, and track their progress—all in one place. With easy-to-use tools and resources, VLE Teacher supports independent study and helps students stay connected with their teachers and classmates, whether learning in school or at home. Our VLE is built to make learning more flexible, engaging, and accessible for every SV Academy student.
